Our article describing the effects of ethanol concentration on the preservation of insects, a product of collaboration between our lab and the Ronquist Lab at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, was published earlier this week in the journal PeerJ!

New paper accepted - the effect of EtOH concentration on preservation of insect samples!
What EtOH concentration to use for preserving insect samples?
We quantified amplifiable COI copies in insects stored at different concentrations, finding substantial DNA degradation <90%. This new result is now a part of our freshly accepted paper, alongside insect fragility measurements!
