Congratulations to Students in the lab on completing their degrees!!! Emilia Majewska and Kamil Tylek have successfully defended their M.Sc. theses, and Małgorzata Biłko, Nikola Krużołek, and Zuzanna Płoszka defended B.Sc. theses.

Warm congratulations to the first newly graduated PhD from our Symbiosis Evolution Group at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Jagiellonian University!

Zuzanna Płoszka, a B.Sc. Student in the lab, has led the study of the diversity and specificity of interactions among flies, pathogenic fungi, and bacteria in Greenland - now published in a leading journal on invertebrate disease research.

In August, Anna Michalik and Veronika Andriienko participated in the Congress of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology in Barcelona (ESEB2025). They have given talks in the “Evolutionary Ecology of Microbial Symbioses” session.
