We are looking for a motivated Ph.D. Student to join a project "The ecological dynamics of microbiota in Arctic insect communities"
The Student will join the project "Micro-allies during mega-crisis? The role of the microbiome in insect community responses to climate change", funded by the Polish National Science Centre (NCN) Opus 22 project no. 2021/43/B/NZ8/03376.
They will join in the survey of microbiota across diverse insect from East Greenland, helping us understand how microbiota composition varies across the taxonomic diversity of insects, how microbial strains transmit across insect species, and what are their ecological roles. This will be done using cutting-edge sequencing and bioinformatics techniques, in collaboration with experts in Sweden and the U.S.A.
