​Anna, Karol, Michał and Piotr participate in the joint 10th Congress of the International Symbiosis Society and the 3rd International Conference on Holobionts in Lyon, France - the largest international conference this year focused on host-associated microbial communities.

During XXVI International Congress in Entomology 2022 in Helsinki (17-22nd July 2022), Piotr co-organizes a symposium: Insect microbial symbiont diversity, distribution, roles, and localizations within host cells/tissues/structures.

On the 8th of July, our group member - Karol Nowak defended his master thesis entitled "Identifying patterns in microbiome composition across insect communities"!

Michał and our MSc Student Veronika are now in Greenland, comprehensively sampling arthropods, plants, and environmental samples in Zackenberg Valley. The fieldwork is realized thanks to the INTERACT funding granted to Michał! We hope to update this news soon with photos and a samples summary ;)

Between the 17th of June and the 1st of July Ania, Piotr, and Adam Stroiński from the Museum and Institute of Zoology, Polish Academy of Sciences spend their time on insect sampling in various regions of Scandinavia. The sampling was related to Ania's NCN funded Opus project "The patterns, processes, and drivers of insect microbiome variability".
