A new preprint is out — the result of a collaboration between our team at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Jagiellonian University and researchers from the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw.

We are pleased to announce that Piotr's project, “Evolution and Function of the Smallest Bacterial Genomes in the Context of the Breakdown of Obligate Symbioses”, has been awarded funding through the NCN MAESTRO 17 programme, which supports pioneering research led by experienced scientists.

Our latest research presenting bacteria with the smallest known genomes has recently been published in Nature Communications.
