A successful leafhopper hunt!
Sandra, Anna and Piotr have successfully sampled leafhoppers near the Institute of Environmental Sciences. We've caught multiple individuals of our target species. They will be used for fluorescent microscopy, long-read symbiont genome sequencing, as well as a population screen for an unusual bacterial symbiont that lives inside cells of another bacterial symbiont.
