Our lab has successfully implemented high-throughput
We truly are living in the future! We have just successfully finished the first run of high-throughput insect barcoding using Oxford Nanopore technology in our Lab! Specifically, we used a modified version of the revolutionary workflow proposed recently by colleagues from Integrative Biodiversity Discovery laboratory at Natural History Museum, Berlin:

In our first, experimental Nanopore run, we have sequenced barcodes for various bee species. The success rate is high out-of-the-box, and we know how to improve it further.
The fact that we can cost-effectively and cheaply sequence thousands of insect barcodes at very low cost opens up exciting new opportunities for biodiversity study in Poland and beyond!
