Between the 17th of June and the 1st of July Ania, Piotr, and Adam Stroiński from the Museum and Institute of Zoology, Polish Academy of Sciences spend their time on insect sampling in various regions of Scandinavia. The sampling was related to Ania's NCN funded Opus project "The patterns, processes, and drivers of insect microbiome variability".

The sampling mostly focused on Swedish Auchenorrhyncha. At the moment the specimens are identified by Adam, and then most of them will be processed in the Symbiosis Group lab, both for amplicon and metagenomic libraries. We just can't wait for the results!
