from 2017 – PhD Student at Stockholm University in the Fredrik Ronquist lab, studying the evolution and diversity of Megaselia (Diptera: Phoridae) (Sweden)
2014 – 2017 Staff of the BioSCAN Project (https://nhm.org/community-science-nhm/bioscan) (California, USA)
2001 – 2005 Bsc in Entomology with honors from the University of California, Riverside (California, USA)

I am a dipterist interested in the ecology, behaviour, and evolution of the genus Megaselia (Diptera: Phoridae).

In my PhD I am working on the evolutionary history and ecology of Megaselia as well as methods for large-scale species discovery and delimitation for hyper-diverse groups. In collaboration with the Łukasik Lab, I am adding phorid microbiomes as another dimension in my study of this group. In our collaborative project we will be examining the microbiomes of phorid flies from Sweden across time and space.
