I am an evolutionary geneticist interested in uncovering and understanding the diversity of life.

In my PhD I studied hybrid speciation in fish. By means of a yearly transcriptomic time series of wild fish combined with a common garden experiment, I observed how hybridization facilitated rapid local adaptation.

During my postdoc at the Natural History Museum in Stockholm I am working within the Insect Biome Atlas in collaboration with Symbioses Evolution Group to develop and implement novel DNA techniques to describe insect fauna of Sweden. Comprehensive sampling of insects both in time and space will allow us to understand how insect communities are distributed and how they react to changing environment.
